The Department of Pharmacy Practice plays a pivotal role in the comprehensive education and training of students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. In close collaboration with Krishna Hospital and Research Centre (1125-bed multi-specialty hospital), the department fosters an enriching environment for effective teaching and learning.
A team of experienced practitioners and educators imparts invaluable insights into clinical pharmacy, patient care, and pharmaceutical care management. The department follows the PCI curriculum, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application to ensure students develop hands-on skills in real-world healthcare settings under the guidance of leading healthcare professionals serving as preceptors.
Students gain extensive exposure through clinical rotations, enhancing competencies in medication therapy management and collaborative healthcare practice. The department serves as a bridge between academia and pharmaceutical care practice, equipping future pharmacists with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required to excel in the dynamic field of pharmaceutical care.
