It prepares students for careers in the biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

Overview

The Postgraduate Diploma in Fermentation Technology focuses on the study and application of microbial fermentation used in industries such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels. The program trains students in various aspects of fermentation—from microbial screening and media preparation to downstream processing and product recovery. It includes practical training in handling fermenters, optimizing bioprocess parameters, and ensuring quality control. Students gain in-depth understanding of microbial physiology, bioreactor design, industrial enzyme technology, and fermentation product development. The program prepares graduates for industrial jobs, research roles, and further education in biotechnology and related fields.

Trains students in industrial fermentation processes, equipping them to design, operate, and optimize microbial production systems with confidence and technical expertise for applications in biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
