About the Department

Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) — also known as Ear, Nose, and Throat — is a branch of medicine and surgery that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.

The Department of ENT plays a vital role in providing healthcare to the community, especially for populations in rural areas and urban slums, where access to specialized ENT care remains limited.

HOD & Professor

Dr. Abhay Dhanpal Havle

Dr. Abhay Dhananjay Havle is Professor and Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad. He completed his M.B.B.S. from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, and his M.S. (Otorhinolaryngology) from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga. Dr. Havle has been teaching since 1989 and is a recognized guide for MS students. He has over thirty national and international publications to his credit.
