Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Krishna Institute of Pharmacy (KIP), Karad was established in 2017 with an initial intake of 60 students, which was later increased to 100 in 2019. From the academic year 2022–23, the institute introduced Pharm D, Pharm D (PB), and M. Pharm programs in Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, along with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The primary aim of the institute is to provide quality education in pharmaceutical sciences and empower students with knowledge, skill, and professional competence. Our graduates are trained to contribute to society by developing life-saving drugs and cost-effective formulations.
Since its inception, KIP has signed MoUs with pharmaceutical industries, research institutes, start-ups, clinical research organizations (CROs), reputed universities, and standalone colleges. The institute also organizes various co-curricular activities such as webinars, FDPs, seminars, guest lectures, and start-up guidance sessions for the holistic development of students. An Innovation Centre is established to encourage higher-order thinking and support students’ novel ideas.
KIP annually organizes a national-level pharma quiz competition—Mind Expedition: The Pharma Quiz. This student-centric and outcome-oriented initiative has resulted in notable achievements, including 10 GPAT qualifiers and 8 NIPER qualifiers in the past two years.
The institute features modern infrastructure comprising spacious classrooms, tutorial rooms, conference rooms, an administrative hall, well-equipped laboratories, a digital library, and all necessary amenities. The development of this infrastructure has been guided by Hon. Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chairman & Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).
Today, KIP proudly welcomes and trains students from across India. Our continuous endeavor is to bridge the gap between the pharmaceutical industry and academia, producing competent and industry-ready professionals tailored to meet the evolving demands of the pharmaceutical sector.
