Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad, in collaboration with Government College of Pharmacy, Karad, organized a one-day workshop on 14th November 2024 titled “Advancing Pharmaceutical Research through Effective Experimental Designs.” The workshop aimed to strengthen research capabilities among faculty members, M.Pharm students, and Ph.D. scholars.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. N. R. Jadhav (Dean, KIP), who emphasized the importance of strong experimental design in achieving reliable research outcomes. Dr. P. R. Mahaparale (I/C Principal, GCOP) served as Chief Guest and highlighted the practical benefits of DOE in academic and research projects.
The technical sessions covered:
- Introduction to DOE by Dr. R. J. Dias, focusing on randomization, replication, and response surface methodology.
- Quality by Design (QbD) by Dr. A. B. Kuchekar, explaining risk assessment, CQAs, and design space.
- Hands-on training in Design Expert software by Dr. S. J. Nadaf, guiding participants through experiment setup and data analysis.
- Clinical study design by Dr. A. N. Chivate, discussing observational and experimental methods with emphasis on ethics and accuracy.
With 88 participants in attendance, the workshop provided valuable theoretical and practical insights, equipping researchers with essential tools to enhance the quality and impact of pharmaceutical research.
