Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad successfully conducted the Student Induction Programme (Deeksharambh) under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth from 1st to 7th August 2025, with enthusiastic participation from 150 students of B. Pharm, Pharm D, and M. Pharm programmes.
Programme Highlights
Day 1:
The programme began with the official induction and an address by Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, KIP, who emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and the expanding career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences. A guest lecture by Dr. Shrinivas Bhope, General Manager, Analytical R&D, Sava Healthcare, Pune, added industry insights. Students were also introduced to the University, departmental orientation, code of conduct, mentor–mentee allocation, and a workshop on gender sensitization.
Day 2:
A one-day certificate programme on “Scope and Potential After Pharmacy” was conducted by Dr. Mahesh Burande, Director, IPER Pune, and Mr. Sameer Burande, CEO, IPER Pune, offering detailed guidance on diverse career pathways in pharmacy.
Day 3:
Students explored virtual learning platforms, participated in a virtual industry tour, and attended motivational sessions on gratitude, research orientation, and student welfare initiatives.
Day 4:
Activities included yoga and meditation sessions, exam orientation, awareness on academic culture, annual report insights, and sensitization on anti-ragging and gender equality.
Day 5:
Sessions focused on placements, career advancement, alumni interactions, competitive exam guidance, professional responsibilities of pharmacists, and departmental visits for practical exposure.
Day 6:
The final day featured sessions on innovation and incubation, the NCC induction ceremony, a lecture on communication skills, student debates, and the introduction of indoor and outdoor sports activities—promoting holistic development.
Creative Extension Activity – Painting & Photography Competition
As part of the induction programme, a Painting and Photography Competition was held on 7th August 2025 in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory under the guidance of Mr. Akshay Kadam. First-Year B. Pharm and Pharm D students showcased outstanding creativity.
