Krishna Institute of Pharmacy (KIP), Karad conducted the third session of its Industry Connect Guest Lecture Series, featuring an insightful talk by Mr. Ashutosh Patil on the theme “Targeting Tomorrow – Trends, Titans and Therapeutics.”

The session offered an in-depth look into the rapidly expanding global pharmaceutical industry and India’s strengthening position as the “Pharmacy of the World.” Key highlights included major market trends, the rising prominence of generic medicines, biotechnology, and biologics, as well as an overview of global leaders driving the $1.6 trillion pharma sector.

Mr. Patil also detailed the end-to-end workflow—from drug discovery to commercialization—and shared future perspectives emphasizing the transformative role of AI, digital health, personalized medicine, and sustainable manufacturing.
