Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), Karad, under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), successfully organised Alumni Meet 2025 on 3rd June 2025 at the institute premises.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 122 alumni from various academic programs, including Basic B.Sc. Nursing (85), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (24), M.Sc. Nursing (7), M.Sc. (N) NPCC (3), and PhD (3), reflecting the strong and enduring bond between the institute and its graduates.

Programme Highlights
The programme commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of the dignitaries through the presentation of saplings, symbolising growth, sustainability, and gratitude. Dr. Prakash Naregal formally welcomed the alumni and expressed sincere appreciation for their continued association with the institute.
An interactive session among alumni, faculty, and students created a nostalgic and emotionally enriching atmosphere. Alumni shared fond memories of their campus life, highlighted the importance of clinical exposure at Krishna Hospital, and acknowledged the pivotal role played by faculty mentorship and student support services in shaping their professional careers.
Cultural & Inspirational Sessions
A cultural highlight of the event was a soulful rendition of “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna” by Mr. Agaha Faiaz, alumnus of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Batch 2011). He shared heartfelt reflections on how KINS played a significant role in shaping his career and personal development.
Dr. Mahadeo B. Shinde motivated the attendees by emphasizing the importance of higher education and advanced career opportunities after M.Sc. Nursing and NPCC programs, both in India and abroad.
Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti Salunkhe encouraged alumni to continue striving for excellence and to bring pride to their alma mater through professional dedication and lifelong learning.
Alumni Cell Initiatives
In his address, Dr. Prakash Naregal highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Alumni Cell, including:
- Alumni guest lectures and webinars
- Career guidance seminars (AIIMS, DMER, DHS, etc.)
- International licensing exam preparation (NCLEX-RN, CRNE, MOH, Prometric, DHA, HAAD)
- Language proficiency training (IELTS, OET, German)
- Virtual interaction sessions among alumni, students, and faculty

The Alumni Meet 2025 concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Prakash Naregal, marking the end of a memorable, meaningful, and enriching gathering that strengthened alumni-institute relationships and reaffirmed the shared commitment to professional growth and institutional pride.
