Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology
A 1-year advanced fellowship offering hands-on training in interventional cardiology procedures. Designed for MD physicians, the program equips fellows with practical skills in performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular interventions safely and effectively.
Overview
This fellowship focuses on developing expertise in invasive cardiology. Fellows learn patient selection, procedural planning, risk assessment, complication management, and interpretation of interventional outcomes. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice and prepares physicians for independent clinical practice in interventional cardiology.
Fellow should have understanding of indications, risks, and benefits of invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in cardiovascular disease
Be clinically experienced in the diagnosis and management of patients with acute and chronic ischemic heart disease and valvular disease
Acquire knowledge in selecting appropriate treatment modality in patients with coronary artery disease
Acquire knowledge in planning percutaneous coronary intervention
To know indication and contra indications of coronary and peripheral interventions
