B.Sc. Microbiology
The B.Sc. Microbiology program at KVV offers in-depth knowledge in medical, industrial, and environmental microbiology with hands-on lab training, research projects, and industry exposure under the CBCS system.
Overview
The B.Sc. Microbiology program aims to build a strong foundation in microbial sciences, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills. It prepares students for careers in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, research, and industrial microbiology, with a focus on modern applications like biotechnology, genetics, immunology, and molecular biology.
Departments facilitate comprehensive understanding and skill development in:
Microbial diversity and taxonomy
Physiology, biochemistry, and genetics of microbes
Immunology and medical microbiology
Industrial and pharmaceutical microbiology
Fermentation technology
Molecular biology and rDNA technology
Biostatistics, bioinformatics, and environmental microbiology
Nanobiotechnology and enzymology
Students explore microbes from basics to breakthroughs—covering genetics, immunology, fermentation, rDNA tech, and more—building strong skills for research and industry.
