Founder

Hon'ble Late Shri. Jayawantraoji Bhosale

Shri. Jaywantrao Bhosale, born on 22nd December 1924 in Rethare BK, Satara, completed his B.A. and LLB in Kolhapur and Pune. In 1959, he became Chairman of one of India’s first and largest co-operative sugar factories. Over 30 years, he transformed it into a model for social change by expanding production to include alcohol, acetone, and paper.
He held important roles like President of the Deccan Sugar Technologists Association, Chairman of the Maharashtra Federation of Co-operative Sugar Factories, and was a member of both the Government of India’s Finance Committee and the State Legislative Council.
In 1964, he founded Shetkari Shikshan Prasarak Mandal to promote rural and girls' education. Later, in 1974, he established the Krishna Charitable Trust and started Krishna Hospital in 1982. In 1984, he was instrumental in enabling private participation in medical and engineering education with the support of Chief Minister Shri Vasantrao Dada Patil.

Hon'ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale

Dr. Suresh Bhosale is a renowned surgeon, educator, and leader with a notable career in medicine, healthcare, and education. He began as a general surgeon at Krishna Institute, later serving as Medical Administrator (1987–2005), where he transformed Krishna Hospital into a leading healthcare center and led key public health initiatives.

As Vice-Chancellor of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth from 2005 and now its Chancellor, he introduced new faculties and promoted research-based education. Since 2013, he has also led the Krishna Charitable Trust, driving continued growth in healthcare and academics.

Principal

Hon'ble Dr. Pravin H. Shingare

Dr. Pravin H. Shingare is a retired Maharashtra government officer who served from Lecturer to Director, including key roles like Professor, Vice Dean, and Dean at Grant Medical College & JJ Hospital, Mumbai. He led the hospital during the 26/11 attacks. An MBBS graduate from Miraj and postgraduate from Ambajogai, he also worked as Controller of Examinations at MUHS, Nashik, where he helped launch Maharashtra’s first medical CET and PG entrance exams.
As the longest-serving Director of Medical Education and Research in Maharashtra, Dr. Shingare established four medical colleges and added over 1,000 MBBS seats. He has held top academic and administrative positions in various universities and councils. He currently serves as Medical Advisor to Symbiosis University and is on academic boards of Symbiosis and MGM Institute.

Hon'ble Dr. Vedprakash Mishra

Dr. Vedprakash Mishra is a renowned figure in Indian and global medical education and the National Head of the Academic Programme for the Indian chapter under the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, Haifa. With degrees in MD, Industrial Relations, and Journalism, he is known for his academic excellence and powerful oratory. He has been awarded honorary D.Sc. degrees by six health universities in India.
He served as Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad (2014–2019), and has been involved with the Medical Council of India for over three decades, leading major reforms like competency-based curricula and faculty training. Currently, he is the Pro-Chancellor and Chief Advisor at Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, and holds advisory roles in several national institutions. Dr. Mishra has received over 100 national and international awards for his contributions to medical education.

Dr.Mrs. Neelam Mishrais a senior academician with over 34 years of experience in teaching and administration. She was the first woman in Maharashtra to be appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor of a statutory university (DMIMS DU, Wardha) and currently serves as Vice Chancellor of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, since February 11, 2020.
She leads key initiatives in medical and allied health education. As National Head for the UNESCO Bioethics Chair (Haifa), she has integrated bioethics into various disciplines. She is a Ph.D. guide, award-winning educator, and active promoter of student welfare and academic innovation.

Dr. M.V. Ghorpade

Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, (M.D. Microbiology) has been working in Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth "Deemed To Be University" since the year 1990. He has been a methodical and articulate member of various University committees, a life member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists and an illustrious member of the editorial board of Research Journal of Krishna Institute, Karad.
He was Joint Secretary of XVI Maharashtra Chapter conference of IAMM at Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth "Deemed To Be University", Karad. After taking over as the Registrar of the Institution his perfectionist attitude has seen his professional life at its pinnacle. He has also guided postgraduate and PhD students.

Dr. Jyotsna Arun Patil

Dr. Jyotsna Arun Patil, Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry, has been serving as the Controller of Examinations at Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad since April 2024. She has been associated with the University since September 2007 and brings extensive academic expertise to her role.
With over 27 years of teaching experience in Biochemistry, Dr. Patil has made significant contributions to research and innovation. She has authored more than 30 research publications and holds several copyrights to her name.

He joined Krishna Charitable Trust in 1990 and, with consistent dedication and hard work, became the Chief Accountant in 1997. With strong knowledge of financial management, he played an important role in improving the Trust’s accounting systems, helping to strengthen its financial stability and efficiency.
When Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth "Deemed To Be University" was established, he took charge as the Finance Officer from the beginning. His rich experience and financial skills have helped the institution create effective strategies and maintain strong financial discipline. His efforts have ensured transparency, accountability, and long-term financial sustainability for the university.
