University Grants Commission: 13-01-2021

The National Education Policy 2020 emphasizes expanding the global outreach of Indian higher education by promoting India as a global study destination and encouraging strong academic and research collaborations with foreign Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The establishment of an Office of International Affairs in every university is considered an essential part of the internationalization of higher education in India.

About

Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, “Deemed to be University”, Karad, is a sought-after medical institution among international students, located in the southwest region of Maharashtra, India. Students from across the globe—from Canada to New Zealand—have been admitted to Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth over the years.
In addition to recognition by the Medical Council of India, the MBBS program is also recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council, the Sri Lanka Medical Council, and is listed in the World Health Organization Directory.
Established as the International Student Cell in 2010, the unit has grown to support students, faculty, patients, and other visitors for various courses and events. Following the UGC initiative, the University upgraded the Cell to the Office of International Affairs to manage all aspects of internationalization, including academics, research, scientific activities, patient services, and more.
