Committed to Excellence in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Education & Innovation

Department Infrastructure .

The department follows a dynamic and interactive teaching–learning approach using traditional chalk-and-board methods along with modern technology-based tools such as projectors and smart boards. Hands-on learning is emphasized through laboratory practical's, research projects, and industrial visits.
Outcome-based education is implemented to train students in various areas of drug design using models and computational tools, conventional and green chemistry synthesis methods, spectral characterization, and chromatographic evaluation of small molecules. Students also receive practical training in operating analytical instruments such as UV–Visible spectrophotometer, IR spectrometer, Flame photometer, and HPLC systems. They are trained in good laboratory and manufacturing practices and proper documentation as per industrial standards, with special focus on quality control and quality assurance throughout the drug manufacturing process.
The department comprises experienced faculty with expertise in drug design and synthesis, computational chemistry, analytical method development, and phytochemical studies. Teaching methods are designed to encourage critical thinking and help students apply theoretical concepts to real-time healthcare challenges. Modern tools such as computers, AI-based simulation platforms, and interactive modules are used to strengthen understanding of biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and synthetic chemistry.
By implementing student-centric learning strategies, the department aims to inspire lifelong learning, professional development, innovation, and strong technical skills among students.
