The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental caries and structural defects of teeth. The focus is on restoring the natural function, form, and esthetics of teeth using advanced and minimally invasive techniques.
The specialty of Endodontics specifically deals with the treatment of pulpal and periapical diseases, management of dental pain, and procedures such as root canal therapy and endodontic microsurgery. The department also emphasizes esthetic and cosmetic dental corrections to enhance patients’ smiles.

HOD & Professor

Dr. Roshan M. Samuel

Dr. Roshan M. Samuel, B.D.S. (Mum.), M.D.S., is a distinguished Endodontist, Academician, and Clinician recognized for excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He completed his BDS from Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College, Navi Mumbai (1992) and MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (1998).
With vast experience in education and patient care, he has mentored numerous UG and PG students, delivered lectures, and published research in reputed journals. He currently serves as Professor and Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, School of Dental Sciences, KVV, Karad.
