DM (Critical Care Medicine)
DM in Critical Care Medicine trains specialists to manage critically ill patients with multi-organ failure, trauma, sepsis, and complex emergencies—focusing on advanced life support, ventilatory care, and ICU-based decision-making across all medical and surgical disciplines.
Overview
DM in Critical Care Medicine is a super-specialty program that provides advanced clinical training in the management of critically ill patients across medical, surgical, trauma, and post-operative settings. The program focuses on ventilatory support, hemodynamic stabilization, infection control, organ support therapies, and multidisciplinary critical care teamwork.

Educational Qualification:
Must have completed a Postgraduate Degree (MD/DNB) in a relevant subject (e.g., Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Emergency Medicine) from a recognized university. -
Registration Requirement:
Must hold permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council, or obtain it within one month of admission. -
Full-Time Residency:
The candidate must be in a position to work as a full-time resident student throughout the course duration. -
Selection Criteria:
- Selection shall be based strictly on academic merit through NEET-SS (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Super Specialty) conducted on an all-India basis.
- The candidate must secure a minimum of 5 percentile in the NEET-SS or as per current Government of India regulations. -
Institutional Regulations:
Admissions will be carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations of the constituent college/institution and the National Medical Commission (NMC). -
Attendance and Conduct:
The candidate must attend at least 80% of all academic sessions (theory, practical, and clinical) and demonstrate satisfactory performance as evaluated by the course supervisor and Dean.
